Meet Paul & Kirstine Roadley
Paul has been involved in Emergency Management for more than 26 years. This includes working in with a Fire Service, and Ambulance Service and a State Emergency Service. Paul was nominated for Australian of the Year in 2004 for his work assisting communities in emergencies.
Unfortunately Paul has been exposed to adverse situations which has resulted in him being diagnosed with severe depression, Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and suicidal ideation. Paul now has a Mental Health Assistance Dog (MHAD) called Luna who helps him to get back out into the community, and supports him when he is struggling.
Paul & Kirstine were married in 2016.
Kirstine has an extensive career as a Public Servant, with 14 years in various administration roles. Her love of travel started in her teens, when she spent a year in Germany as a Rotary Exchange Student, visiting much of Europe during that time. Growing up in regional New South Wales, Kay feels a strong affinity to rural centres of Australia.
Kirstine has experienced severe bouts of anxiety over the last few years, and understands the struggle with trying to manage everyday life with this condition. She is loving the dynamic between Luna & Paul, and watching Luna’s innate skills change Paul’s mood when he is severely stressed.
