Wednesday was a truly crazy day. Aside from bringing home the Nissan Legend Edition Patrol, we spent a wonderful afternoon with the team at Videocraft in Melbourne.
After many months of planning and negotiating, the day arrived when we could meet the people who’ve been working so hard to bring our collaborative plans to fruition. From the moment we walked in the door, we were welcomed and made to feel so very welcome. The kids went off to play, and Heidi and Jeanette showed us through the phenomenal equipment they have provided us with. Luna was a huge favourite with all the staff, and of course didn’t enjoy the attention at all ;P
Paul was like a kid in a candy shop, and is super keen to read the manuals and get to know every aspect of the high tech kit. He of course felt very smug in having organised with Videocraft to have a birthday cake ready for Kirstine. Chocolate mud cake and smiles all round!
It was so hard to drag ourselves away from the Videocraft crew after the photoshoot in the car park. They are so easy to talk to, and are so very interested in the trip we are about to undertake. Inundated with requests for equipment on a daily basis, our trip and cause resonated with them and the current situation in the media industry. We are hugely honoured and are looking forward to seeing you again in Sydney at the SMPTE Exhibition!
