This afternoon Luna got to meet a Sight Assistance Dog. Both of them thought it was great chasing and smelling each other around the foreshore of Cottesloe.
It was great to talk to another Assistance Dog handler and discuss the issues we both share when in public with our dogs. The biggest issues are restaurants and taxi’s not knowing that our dogs are permitted to travel in Taxi’s and to enter restaurants.
It was also great to be able to answer their questions about Mental Health Assistance Dogs. They had heard about MHADs but had never met one before.
It was also great to talk to more people about our trip starting in April, and to talk to people again that we have met over the last couple of days only to find out that they have looked us up on the internet and that they think what we are doing is absolutely exciting and needed.
